As the end of summer lingers we thought it would be fun to send off the warmer months with a trip to a local flower farm. We grabbed a CX-5 and headed North (Only 15 minutes but it still counts)! One of the most amazing parts about our community is the mix of city & country and how easy it is to get away from the hustle and bustle. Tucked into Green Lane is a magical escape called Country Cut Flowers, as soon as you turn into their drive way you are instantly transported to an oasis.
The day we happened to adventure out to Country Cut Flowers was one of the hottest days during the recent heat wave - it was safe to say that we were HOT. This is when I discovered the CX-5 was equipped with cooled seats! To say this was a game changer is an understatement. We wanted to take some photos with the Mazda with the vintage barn in the background before we walked up to the flower fields so we would take brakes in-between shots sitting in the CX-5’s air conditioning and the cooled seats on full.
The Mazda interior might be my favourite part about this vehicle - let’s be honest, it looks GOOD! The leather seats and the sleek design really make you feel like you are driving a luxury vehicle. The CX-5 is also the perfect size for driving between the city and the country. It is big enough for your family & your gear, but it also can navigate with ease around a city scape. One more thing to note about the Mazda is how quiet it is, sometimes I forgot it was even running. Mazda has created innovated technology to create the quietest cabin, to help you drive in peace.
Ok, so now for the fun part. We walked up the hill and turned around the corner and were met with the post beautiful landscape. I felt I was in a real life painting. The unique barn over looked rolling hills filled with flowers of all different shapes and colours. There were dahlias, snap dragons, sunflowers and so much more. To be honest, I couldn’t believe this place existed so close to Newmarket. I was swept off my feet by the beauty of this place. We wandered the fields and the barn taking it all in. I didn’t want to leave. If you are looking for an escape I would 100% recommend visiting Country Cut Flowers. You can buy tickets on their website for cut your own flowers & they also do workshops!
