An Unforgettable Evening of Entertainment at the 14th Annual NewRoads Girls Night Out

March 6, 2025, was a night to remember at the NewRoads Performing Arts Centre, as it transformed into a dazzling New York City scene for the 14th Annual NewRoads Girls Night Out. With the theme A Night at the Plaza Hotel, the event captured the glamour and excitement of the iconic Manhattan landmark, celebrating International Women’s Day in true style. Guests were greeted by doormen dressed in white gloves and top hats before stepping into a venue that sparkled with city chic. Inside, wine flowed, themed appetizers from A Million Mouthfuls Catering delighted guests, and photo stations kept the laughter going all evening.

The energy was high from the start, but it reached new heights once the entertainment began. The talented performers from Artistica Dance Studio set the tone with an engaging and interactive routine that had the crowd cheering. Later, keynote speaker Jenn Walker took the stage, blending humour and heartfelt storytelling as she reflected on womanhood, resilience, and empowerment - themes that resonated deeply throughout the evening.

Beyond the entertainment, guests explored a vibrant showcase of more than 20 women-owned businesses, each offering unique products and services. Raffle prizes - donated by generous local partners - kept the excitement going, while emcee Jennifer Ritter, President and CEO of the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation, guided the night with warmth and personality.

Every moment of fun supported a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the event went to Girls Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring girls across North America to be strong, smart, and bold through mentorship, advocacy, and education.

The celebration was such a success that organizers had to restock the bar midway through the evening — proof of the lively atmosphere and strong community turnout. Even a few men joined the fun, surrounded by hundreds of inspiring women. Thanks to the incredible support of sponsors, partners, and guests, Girls Night Out once again proved that when women gather in celebration and purpose, amazing things happen.
